The world-famous Croisette of Cannes is a melting-pot of exciting social activity, sea excursions, retail experiences and relaxation.

Whilst attending the Frontier Awards why not experience what else the region has to offer?

Take a look below at our recommendations of how to spend the rest of your time in Cannes whilst in town for the ceremony:

La Croisette is full of shopping opportunities and home to the flagship stores of famed designers such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, and more. For additional luxury shopping experiences, visit Rue Hoche, Cannes 'Chic Street' to find leading fashion brands, as well as exploring it's side streets for hidden gems and unique items.

For a more local shopping experience, Rue Meynadier and Rue d'Antibes offer boutique shopping experiences, where you can find accessories and pieces from up and coming lcoal and international designers.

La Croisette itself has a rich history, originating as a pilgrim path to now a lively tourist, festival and party destination.

The region is full of must-see historical and cultural attractions, including:

  • The iconic Palais Des Festivals - home of the Cannes Film Festival
  • Le Suquet - the oldest part where the cobbled street path has remained untouched for hundreds of years. By making your way to the top via stairways, you can take a stop at the terraced garden next to Notre-Dame d’Espérance, overlooking the Palais des Festivals, the harbour and La Croisette.
  • The Vieux-Port - an iconic part of the Cannes shoreline, opened in 1838, offering boat tours and day sea trips
  • Cannes is home to multiple museums and art galleries, perhaps the most famous of which is Centre d'Art La Malmaison in a prime location of central downtown Cannes, showcasing modern artwork from local artists.
  • Guided tours to surrounding regions, including Nice, Antibes and Monaco

After the industry's jam-packed week of appointments, meetings and events in Cannes, taking some much needed time out to decompress is important.

Cannes beaches are some of France's best, with refreshing waters and spacious shores to relax on the sand. If activities are your thing, Pointe Croisette Beach offers the perfect location for paddleboarding, kayaking and other watersport, with rental shops located in the surrounding area.

In October, the weather remains pleasantly mild, free from the intense summer heat, whilst still remaining warm enough to enjoy al fresco dining, walking on the promenade and visiting outdoor attractions.

Enjoying a good meal is the perfect way to round off a day of experiencing the Cannes culture and exploring the local area. Along with a number of traditional and modern French restaurants, dishing up signature regional meals like Niçoise Salads, there are a variety of cuisines to tuck into, including Japanese, South American, Italian, and other Mediterranean-style restaurants.
